The All-on-4 system combines dental implant technology with full-arch dentures to create the most lifelike, natural-feeling replacement teeth with the most strong and secure fit of any tooth-replacement procedure.
The All-on-4 system is based on the placement of four specially engineered dental implants in each of the top and bottom jaws. These four implants serve as the foundation for a full arch of natural-looking replacement teeth to be fixed inside the patient's mouth. All of the patient's teeth on each jaw are secured by four dental implants; hence the name 'All-on-4.' Patients with considerable tooth loss or decay, as well as those who have bone loss in the jaw area that prohibits them from receiving traditionally orientated (vertical) dental implants, might consider this procedure.
A detailed examination and conversation are undertaken to begin the route to full-mouth restoration. This will include a comprehensive physical examination of the mouth, as well as x-rays, digital 3D scans, and a detailed analysis of the patient's oral health and past medical history.
Once your candidacy for the treatment is approved and you have been fully informed about the treatment, we will take measurements and impressions of your teeth and mouth that will help in precisely planning and designing the treatment plan and the required prosthesis. If required, we will perform ridge reduction surgery to make ample space for the prosthesis to fit.
The procedure will begin with giving you the necessary sedatives and anesthesia. Then we will extract any hindering tooth or the pieces of any previously lost or damaged tooth. Next, we will properly insert dental implants into your jaw. The abutments and temporary prosthesis will be placed, and finally, your bite will be checked.
After the procedure is complete, you will have to follow the post-surgery guidelines properly. Once your mouth has completely healed, you will be called in, and your temporary prosthesis will be replaced with the permanent ones after we take impressions of your teeth and fabricate your permanent prosthesis.
